Iron series oxygen absorber will not be digested, even if it into the human body, it will be naturally excreted. Organic series oxygen absorber as food additives is relatively safe. The organic matter or the iron will react with the oxygen in the wrapping bag , which also release heat at the same time. If it still has oxygen absorption capability, it will continuously reacting and releasing heat, even it has already put out of package. Well, don’t worry, it’s safety and can’t give rise to any fire, it wouldn’t cause these situation such as sharp heat or scald.

According to different raw materials, the oxygen absorbers can be divided into two kinds: Iron series(N,S,K) and Organic series(OA).
The iron powder in iron series oxygen absorber will react with oxygen and form rust, so the oxygen will be absorbed, and the sealed container will be have no oxygen inside.
The organic series oxygen absorber can be used as the raw material of food additive.
The volume of carbon dioxide that released is almost equal to the volume of the oxygen that is absorbed, so the container will not shrink, and the soft and squashy food can be kept well. The packed final commodity can pass the metal detect machine.
According to different packaging materials, oxygen absorber sorts into 2 kinds: one is oil and water proof type(N,OA); the other is for common food. Please use oil and water proof packaging materials, if the goods is greasy and watery and contacts oxygen absorber directly. If the goods containing little water or oil and don’t contact oxygen absorber directly, please use common packaging materials. Please do actual packaging experiments in advance to confirm the result to get the best effect.

Choosing suitable type according to the goods activity of water and the time for packaging. However, different conditions corresponding to different varieties. The approximate standards are as follows:
Specifications (atmosphere amount or oxygen amount), select a little larger specification than the volume of air that be packed together with the packed object. Two kinds of ways to express the specifications of oxygen absorber: atmosphere volume and oxygen volume.

Please notice, their relation is as follows:
atmosphere volume÷5=oxygen volume
oxygen volume×5=atmosphere volume

If oxygen absorber is used, probably, it would absorb oxygen in the packed bag, so the volume will be reduced 20%, this is so called the phenomenon of out pack’s shrinking. The way to prevent this is as follows:

(1) Using organic series oxygen absorber（Oxymove OA型）
The volume of carbon dioxide that released is almost equal to the volume of the oxygen that is absorbed, so the bag or the container will not shrink, also the carbon dioxide is with the function of bacteriostasis.

(2) Using Alcohol Freshness Retainer
Because the alcohol is with the function of bacteriostasis, so it can prevent mildew and keep the food quality well.

(3)Using together with inactive gas
In order to prevent food from oxidation, you can use inactive gas such as nitrogen to replace the oxygen in the package.
But,it is impossible to remove all the oxygen, you know, the oxygen can infiltrate in. But if you want to preserve goods for a long time, the inactive gas should be used together.

Don’t choose oxygen absorber with insufficient capacity to prevent the so-called pack’s shrinking, because the remaining oxygen and the infiltrated oxygen can make the goods go bad or degradation.
